[net.legal] Sharks, lawyers and the people...

eggestad%vax.runit.unit.uninett@nta-vax.ar (Karl Henrik Eggestad) (02/28/86)

As an application to the Fishing-story, received from the keyboard of
Brent Copper,i'd like to say that the most typical result of the rather
"embarrassing" situation of this lawyer, would be that HE ate the sharks
and then came back to collect the money from the audience...

Applied to the Court of Law : It seems that as the lawyers are getting more
proffessional, the laws are getting helpless.

A frequently rising question is :

What makes a man guilty, who is to judge and who is to blame ?
--- and who is to tell ?

When do we get lawyers to protect the society from well-paid lawyers that
seem to win even the most hopeless case, sometimes apparently against all laws ?

As you all will understand, i'm not a lawyer myself, but one of the
vast gang of "boat-passengers".

Looking forward to see more of the shark-eating... (whether the sharks eat the
judge or vice versa)

                     So long!
