'+++' is an ATTENTION sequence for Hayes modems and their clones.
if preceded and followed by a 1 sec interval of inactivity, '+++'
snapps the modem into command mode. Interval is register devined
and can be changed.
That's how I hang up my modem from terminal when working at home....
