[tor.general] "Conference" at Gull Lake, July 2-4

I am planning a 3-day "conference" at Gull Lake, a pleasant survey
camp owned by the University. Accomodation is $4/head/day, and
barracks-style. Planned dates are July 2-4, right after the long weekend.

The idea is to have about 3 hrs/day of very informal seminars, mostly
by grad students, on their general thesis area (or proposed area). I'd
like people with odd computer applications and problems to attend and
explain what's up. I hope to have people from several departments talk
(e.g. DCS, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Physics, ...) so that everyone
gets a better idea of what's happening next door. At the moment most
people seem to graduate with no idea of the diversity of activity at the
University. Maybe we could even get cooperative projects started ...
