Does anyone have a recommendation (for or against) a garage where
I could get my wife's 1978 Honda Accord automatic repaired? It is
currently sitting in an undrivable state in my garage on the west
side of Toronto (near Jane and Bloor), so I'd like to find someplace
reasonably close to minimize the towing charge. (I used to take it
to Ready Motors, which used to be 3 blocks from my home, but they
recently moved to Mississauga...)
In case anyone is interested, the car sat for about 6 weeks without
being driven, and now acts as if something is jammed inside the engine
or starter preventing it from turning over (hopefully something less
horrible than a seized engine!). Engaging the starter [briefly!]
produces a loud WHAM! sound without turning the engine over at all.
Sigh....
