[tor.general] Dumping VMS data to tape

oldeng@utgpu.UUCP (07/24/87)

We have some data on our VAX 11/730 running VAX/VMS 4.0 that we want to
dump to magnetic tape. It is approximately 34 Megs, and we are not on
any network, so I can't easily port it over to Unix. Modem transfer would
be very inefficient, though not impossible. :-)

We have a DEC RL02 cartridges, which is our only removable media. (We have
no tape drive.)

So, what we are looking for, is someone who can read RL02 cartridges,
and can dump it to tape. If someone has other suggestions, it will
be welcomed. Any help would be appreciated.

Please reply by E-mail.

Thanks
