The Canadian Decus Symposium is coming up on February 8 - 12th, 1988.
The location this year is the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto, Canada.
So why am I telling you now? This is a call for Unix papers and talks.
I have just taken on the responsibility of Unix Stream Co-ordinator.
The DECUS planning started sometime ago so the UNIX Stream is behind schedule.
If you have a paper, an idea for a paper, or just think you might
like to present a session then let me know As Soon As Possible please.
Preferably by electronic mail as I need to know by September 9th. I'll make
arrangements to get the rest of the information to you.
Topics in the past have included: Technical Overview of ULTRIX, Digital's
Role in the UNIX Software World, Unix Programs under VMS, Distributed Files
System under 4.2 and Commercial Software Packages.
Do not let the Sept 9th date prevent you from submitting a paper.
I will still welcome submissions shortly after this time as well.
If you know someone who is doing something interesting that you would
like to see presented then have them send mail or let me
know and I will chase them down.
If you are planning on attending DECUS and have a topic that you would like
to have covered then also drop me a message.
Unix is becoming a major force in computing. Let's work on a good showing
from the Unix community.
Thanx

P.S. Remember DECUS is Digital Equipment Computer Users Society
so submissions should have something to do with DEC or have been
developed on DEC equipment.
