A friend has recently taken possession of an apartment in Toronto which has had new plaster work done on the walls to cover cracks, picture nail and huge manhole sized holes. The wall has not been re-painted. When asked about this, the company who owns the building indicated that they would not do the painting. (They were not responsible for any `re-decoration') Some of the folk here think that my friend can have the wall painted and the cost of painting the wall deducted from the first month's rent. Others think that it is something which has to be negotiated between landlord and tenant. Does anyone know what my friends' legal rights are? -david- (mail to me, I'll re-route) -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- David Haynes Just another road Geac Computers International Inc. kill on the highway UUCP: uunet!mnetor!geac!david -or- david@geac.UUCP of life.
