Regarding old issues of Scientific American, Creative Computing etc. There is at least one bookstore in or near downtown Toronto (I don't remember where) which deals in old issues of Scientific American, and other "general interest" magazines, e.g. National Geographic. I doubt they handle Creative Computing though.
