[tor.general] moegate is back from the dead

soley@moegate.UUCP (Norman Soley) (09/05/89)

You wouldn't believe the last couple weeks, but I'm going to tell you
about them anyway. It started when moegate's hard disk decided to take a
little vacation, it worked fine everywhere the dealer tried it but refused to
work in moegate then there was a dispute about the guarantee some
finger-pointing between dealer and distributor and so on ... it took a week
and 1/2 to get it fixed.

Meanwhile back on the ranch I finally recieved a job offer I've been waiting
for and tendered my resignation here. My bosses were understandably eager
for me to spend time documenting my projects and not working on getting news
and mail back up again. So when moegate did come back up it dutifully
bounced or dumped everything that had been queued up and has continued
to do so until today.

So if you sent mail to/through moegate in the past three weeks it probably
didn't get to it's destination.

Friday Sept 1 was my last day as a civil servant but MOE will let me keep my
account here for a couple days until I get settled in at the new place
(Oracle Corp. in case you were wondering). soley@moegate.UUCP will be
aliased to my new address as soon as I have it and will remain so for
the forseeable future.

Simon Geller (geller@moegate.UUCP) will be taking over things here.
