[bugfood] I am going to spend most of a year in China, beginning this coming fall. I will be teaching English (The level and particular type as yet unspecified) and linguistics. Any general advice is of course welcome, but what I'm particularly looking for is sources for photographs. My father spent a quarter teaching in China this past fall, and the advice from all the teachers of foreign languages he knew (at the institution I will be working at) said that what they wanted most, no matter how much they had brought with them, were pictures of life in their country. Any addresses for chambers of commerce? Better yet, anyone know how I could get photos of, say, grocery stores? Publicity departments of big corporations seem likely, but I don't know anyone appropriate. Suggestions, photos, addresses? Any help would be much appreciated.
