Anyone who is considering throwing out a laser printer with a Canon SX print engine -- that is, LaserJet 2, LaserWriter 2, QMS PS810, etc -- please consider throwing it in our direction. :-) Doesn't have to be working or in terribly good condition; we're interested in it not as a working printer, but as a source of parts. We've just discovered that HP's parts policy seems to have changed between the old LJ and the LJ2, with a lot of LJ2 spares available only as complete subassemblies. This is a considerable nuisance; we maintain our own printers, but don't want to tie up a lot of money in parts inventory. -- 1972: Saturn V #15 flight-ready| Henry Spencer at U of Toronto Zoology 1990: birds nesting in engines | uunet!attcan!utzoo!henry henry@zoo.toronto.edu
