I am interested in using a Soundblaster board in a grade 12 Computer Science course I am teaching. The only condition is that I have to get my hands on the software developer's package that the Soundblaster people offer. Has anyone out there had a chance to look at the developer's package? If you have, I'd be very interested in hearing your comments about the usefulness of the package. In the class, we'd probably want to do some work displaying the digitized samples, and writing our own software to drive the card. Does the documentation provide enough info to make these goals reasonable? I'd appreciate any of your comments, and I'd especially appreciate it if someone in the Toronto area were kind enough to let me look at their copy of the developer's package before I spend the school's money on it.
