I just had my camera repaired by a new shop in Sunnyvale run by
2 Japanese. They seem very competent, but have no business savvy.
I don't know if they take mail orders.
Here's the story - dropped my Nikon FM-2, damaged the door latch.
They first checked all shutter speeds - no charge, A-OK.
Then he told me in a typical Japanese accent, "Six-ty dollar".
Hmmm, sounds normal, wish I was richer. "Six O?", I inquired.
"No, six-teen", he said more clearly! "Fine", I replied, barely displaying
any surprise or emotion. However, I couldn't help but raise my eyebrows
when he said it would be ready the next day! And it was!!
