While I was at Northwestern, I practiced a few times with the Purple Haze. I'm not all that bad, but they ran (and threw, and caught, and everything else) my socks off. If you could get in touch with their organizers, I am sure they could vector you to some of the several Chicago-area clubs now in operation, not just University-connected. I forget the guys' names (they have probably graduated by now, anyway) but you could get in touch with the current club organizers through either the Intramural Sports Office or the Club Sports Office at Northwestern.
