In order to liven things up, I thought I'd describe a game which myself and a friend invented some years ago. It kept us occupied for a couple of summers. Anyway, find yourself a little-used street with curbs and a 165g that you don't particularly care about. Stand an arbitrary distance apart- 70 feet is about right. The object is simple. Just get the frisbee past the other guy, with the catch that it must land in the street past a "goal line" (usually an agreed-upon crack). Also, all shots must impact the street in front of the goal line as well. Thus a variety of skips and rollers may be used. Curbs make things interesting (they are considered part of the street), and grass/driveways/trees/telephone poles are out of bounds. Be careful, because you can really pound up your shins on those wide saves. Long socks help. This game can even be played indoors in a gymnasium or the like if you have the space. Skipping frisbees on hard floors back and forth is somewhat suicidal (not to mention throwing your leg in front of one), but hardly more so than guts. Watch out for innocent bystanders.
