Flame on!

Hacky Sack has been affiliated with Frisbee almost since its (Hacky's)
inception. If you've ever been to any kind of Frisbee tournament OTHER
than Ultimate in the last 4 or 5 years, you know what I mean.

True, a Hacky is inherently an aerodynamically unstable recreational
object (to borrow a phrase), and in that way is unlike a disc. However,
if you have ever freestyled with a disc, you know the disciplines involved
are quite alike--the kicking, reaching, twisting, coordination, etc.
Many Ultimate players (myself included) use a friendly game of Hacky
to loosen-up their legs before a game.

The other, perhaps more subtle similarity is that both Frisbee and
Hacky are, and have evolved to be, social sports. People who indulge
are not out to bash heads, or slam racquets into a wall; they are there
to interact, relax, and have fun. (Granted, recently Ultimate has
gotten increasingly competitive, but I like to believe the free-spirit
attitude that has always permeated the sport can still be found.)

Flame off! (i.e. you sure did stir up some activity!!)
