<<>> Is anybody still alive out there? The frisbee-disc season is already under way in the south, and is just getting rolling in the north. The Disc Golf Tournament at Rockledge, Florida was fantastic! Many of the best disc golfers in the world were there. 14 of us from North Carolina made the trip to Rockledge (essentially the same as Cocoa Beach)! and one guy flew in from Indiana (Muncie area) and three guys from Texas drove in! That was the last weekend in February and the weather was great. Everybody should be watching for the Wham-O sponsored "Hacky-Sack and Frisbee Festival" that may soon be appearing in a city near you. Last year, they held around 20 of them in cities all over the US. Great fun. The largest Festival of the year (as opposed to tournament) is the National Frisbee Festival in Washington, DC, sometime in August (last weekend?). Tournaments coming up in the mid-atlantic region, include the April Fool's Tournament (Fool's Fest) in Washington DC the first weekend in April (3 days of Ultimate with 20 teams from as far away as Michigan (Kalamazoo) or so i was told), and the same weekend is the Virginia State Championships (for golf, distance, MTA, and free-styling) in Frederickberg. Anybody interested in more information on these tournaments or any others around the US (or just more info on disc sports in general), please feel free to contact me. from the flying-disc circuit... dave /\ -- druid / daveh -- hesselberth \/ -- decvax!mcnc!ncsu!druid / ncsu!ievax!daveh --
