I am trying to write a real-time program for a Data General Eclipse AP/130 computer, using a 4330 Analog Data Subsystem. At present, I can not run the digital to analog converter faster than 4 kHz. At the suggestion of Data General, I switched from AOS to RDOS, and then from RDOS to RTOS. Under RTOS, I can run the D to A at 8kHz, but only if the system is not doing anything else. Has any Data General user out there ever dealt with the Analog Data Subsystem? I absolutely must run the D to A at 8kHz, and need to be able to run the rest of my program also. If you have any ideas about what I might be doing wrong, or how I should proceed, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions (or even pointers to someone who might know). Also, I would be interested in sharing experiences with any RTOS users, as RTOS is a category C unsupported product... If you have any information that might help, please reply by mail. -- Erik Mintz c/o GTE Labs ARPA or CSnet : epm0%gte-labs.csnet@csnet-relay 40 Sylvan RD.
