We have the System V, release 2, tapes here that contain the Documenter's Workbench software, specifically device independent troff. We also have a DEC LN01 laser printer. A couple of months ago, I saw a note in fa.laser-lovers or somewhere about some additions to the ditroff software that some people at the University of Wisconsin had made in order to get ditroff to drive their LN01. We have gotten that tape from them, so now it is time to fit all of the pieces together. What I would like to ask about is the process of installing ditroff under 4.2 BSD. Apparently the System V makefiles, as on the tape, do not work. Must one install things manually? Write one's own makefiles? If the latter, could somebody mail them to me?
