Our version of TeX seems to be unable to produce radicals properly; the angular character out in front is set too low to connect with the overline. Anybody know how to fix this? Reply by mail, please. (We don't have any TeX experts here, so be gentle.) Thanks in advance. Tom Statler

It's due to a bug in pxp. Remake your TeX changing the call to pxp to be pxp -O -f (insert the -f flag). Let me also plug the TeX Users' Group. This fix was announced in that organization's newsletter during the past summer. --Rick
