(null) I know this query has been presented before, but I don't yet know of an adequate response. Are there any easy to use word processing packages available for a VAX 4.2BSD ? As a previous query state : "EMACS and VI need not apply". Unless someone has some really great macros for EMACS to do the job... The package should be very, very easy to use, do formatting on the fly, handle bold, superscripts and subscripts and underlining, etc, etc. Similar, perhaps to the WANG or the DECmate. There seem to be many such packages for the IBM/PC, with vary quality, but few or none for VAX UNIX. I've heard good things of Microsoft's WORD for the the PC - will it be available for UNIX ? Besides a few vendor-specific products, like Fortune's WP, I know of perhaps one or two that might be available for the VAX. Crystal-Writer is one which isn't yet available for the VAX but should be Real Soon. Has anyone used it ? Or The FinalWord ? Or any others ? Cheers, Dan ...cmcl2!rna!dan
