Do you have some or all of TROFF or TeX, SUNs and VAXen, an Imagen, and 4.2 UNIX? We have developed and are distributing a package of programs which: 1) allow previewing of troff and TeX (and likely Scribe) output (actually IMPRESS documents) for an Imagen on a SUN. Portrait mode images are displayed compressed 2::1 and give a precise picture of what the printed output will look like. 2) allow the insertion of screen dumps or portions of screen dumps from a SUN into troff output for an Imagen. 3) alters lpr, lprm, etc. to work in a network-wide fashion for a given login id. (eg. lprm removes jobs spooled from a different machine but the same id.) 4) alters lpr, etc. so they spool jobs into a preview queue the user can check before printing. 5) alters lpd so that jobs are appropriately unspooled for an Imagen. So, what does it take to get this [fantastic] printing aid? Well, we would have liked to have simply sent it out to all persons requesting it, but it contains licensed material, so we have to get (and process) copies of your 4.2 license. Therefore we must charge a nominal $100 fee for distribution (which will pay for the tape, mailing, and processing). The $100 fee may be waived if a pre-arranged software exchange takes place. Do NOT simply send out a tape, contact me first. Now that you have decided to get the package simply print off the license form below, fill it out and mail it to the address below with a cheque (made out to the Dept. of Comp. Sci.) or purchase order (bletchh) and your 4.2 license.
