We just got "titroff" from AT&T and are attempting to get it working on our 4.2bsd Vax 11/780 and Pyramid 90x systems; we have Imagen Imprint-10 laser printers. Everything compiled fine using the excellent BRL System V compatibility package on our Vax and the "att universe" on the Pyramid. But we have a few problems: 1) We have 480 dot/inch Imagen printers too. Unfortunately, the supplied rasters for the Imagen are 240 dpi only. While I could create some ugly 480 dpi rasters from these by simply doubling the pixels, I'd like to obtain real 480dpi rasters. How might this be done? 2) Something awful happens in non-Times-Roman fonts; it seems like the character spacing is completely wrong. I *thought* I built the di10 H.out (etc) files correctly; a quick "ls -ul" shows that troff is really reading them, so I'm mystified. I'd really appreciate it if someone could mail me a short document (like a -mv slide) and the troff output for an Imprint-10 so that I can compare it to what I'm getting.
