My apologies if this is not the right group for this query. I'm a neophyte to the net and had to guess from the active groups list the correct target. We at Telecom Australia Research Labs. run an MPM based text generation system (using wordstar 3.0) to generate the various technical papers and reports that are our major output. Recently (about 9 months ago) we started using Toshiba model P1350 printers as our output printers. These machines were chosen because of their multi-font capabilities. A persistant firmware bug has surfaced with these printers however which is causing some difficulties. The printers are driven as sprint 5 devices which Toshiba claim they emulate totally. If the text to be produced has been of a mathematical nature, with varying fonts and ragged margins (generally much shorter than the text block) the machine will lose track of where both left ad right margin positions should be. The result is a text block which then oscillates in a horizontal mode as it proceeds down the page. The Australian representatives of Toshiba have supplied one new firmware set which did not cure the problem. It is rumoured that several other Australian sites are suffering this problem also. The problem does not lie with wordstar since a real sprint 5 twintrack works correctly. Has any site experienced similar problems and was a fix found?
