I have been using nroff some time and thought I'd begun to understand it, and therefore troff. We have very recently purchased a laser printer and can now use troff for nice output. But I am having a couple of problems that I can't seem to resolve. The easier one is setting a global point size. I use -me macros. Both -me's .sz and t/nroff's .ps are an environment parameter. How do I get section headers (.sh) in any but the default (10 pt) point size. I can get the title, but not the numbers in different sizes. The harder and more trying problem is that troff is going along like gangbusters doing exactly what I want through most of the file, and suddenly, near the end, it quits translating and output is identical to the input file. This occurs immediately after output of a floating keep. The page before the floating keep is fine, output on the next page is one word at the top (it was the last part of a hyphenated word, then to prevent this I added a .nh) which I can't seem to make join the text below the keep. The keep formats ok, it's code is .(z L .hl .sv 20 .hl .sp 1 .ce 1 \fBFigure \fRFigure \n($1.\nF Figure Title\fR .(x F .sz 12 \!\fRFigure \n($1.\nF Figure Title\fR .)x .fi .)z .)z All text immediately after the keep is identical to the input file, not troff formatted. All the troff codes are intact. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Nroff works okay on this same file and no error messages are sent during troff, just bad output. -- Suzanne Barnett uucp: ...{decvax,hao,ihnp4,seismo}!noao!terak!suze phone: 602 998 4800 us mail: Terak Corporation, 14151 N 76th street, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
