[net.text] Scribe Hacks Mailing List

haas@utah-cs.UUCP (Walt Haas) (11/01/85)

We are starting a new mailing list of Scribe hackers. This list is
designed for persons who perform the role of Scribe Database
Administrator at their installation. Discussion will be about
Scribe features, bugs, enhancements, performance, support, and
other topics of interest to Scribe DBAs. The list will NOT be
moderated, but will simply consist of a mail "reflector" - ie. if
you send a message to the list, it will be rebroadcast to everyone
on the list. Discussion at the level of "How do I get a paragraph
to indent 5 spaces instead of 3?" is specifically discouraged.

The list will be maintained on UTAH-CS, a VAX 8600 running Unix 4.3 BSD.
UTAH-CS is connected to the ARPAnet (node UTAH-CS.ARPA) and uucp.
It should be possible to access any site on either of these networks,
or gatewayed to one of these networks. Therefore we hope to be able
to reach a large fraction of the Scribe user community.

To add your name to the list, change or delete a name or have other
administrative requests serviced, send mail to:

	ARPAnet: SCRIBE-HACKS-REQUEST@UTAH-CS.ARPA
	uucp: ...ihnp4!utah-cs!scribe-hacks-request

To post a submission to the list, send mail to:

	ARPAnet: SCRIBE-HACKS@UTAH-CS.ARPA
	uucp: ...ihnp4!utah-cs!scribe-hacks

Please, do NOT bother the entire list with a request to have your name
added or deleted!

Feel free to rebroadcast this announcement to anyone who might
be interested.
