A publishing house would like to buy time on a phototypesetter in order to produce camera-ready copy for a new book. The phototypesetter must provide at least 500 dots per inch (more would be preferable) and it must offer the Times font, or a close approximation, in the four typefaces Roman, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic. It must also provide "another" font, something that looks good but is easily distinguished from Times (e.g., Palatino), in the two typefaces Roman and Italic. They will provide output from the "new" troff (i.e., an ASCII description of the document, not the binary codes which drive a C/A/T). You must provide a postprocessor which will interpret the troff output and drive the phototypesetter accordingly. They are prepared to pay up to $6 per page -- caeterus paribus, the lowest offer will be accepted. Please reply by computer mail to ...ihnp4!ihlpa!humbert. All received replies will be acknowledged; if your reply is not acknowledged, please re-send it. Thank you in advance. jfs
