[net.text] LaTeX Mode for Gosling Emacs?

jfinger@diablo.ARPA (01/08/86)

Can anyone point me to a LaTeX mode for Gosling Emacs? I am looking
for one that will keep me from blowing it on ([{$$}]), trying to match
\begin{clyde} with \end{fred} and the like. Thanks,

I have a very nice (my opinion) TeX/LaTeX mode for Goslings
Emacs. Does what you ask, plus it will properly justify paragraphs
while not screwing up lines containing "%" signs (comments), yet
will justify lines containing things like \verb+ ... % ... +.
It has extensive support for bibliographies, so on \cite{foo}
you can hit control-D is see the citation. It provides templates
for building bibtex files. The only problem is that it contains lots
of modified code from the original TeX-mode, and I'm not sure about
my rights to post that. As soon as I can find out, I'll post more.
