I use the LaTeX \verbatim command a lot to include printout from computer programs. Specifically, I use the following \verbatimfile command to include a whole file of text in verbatim environment. \newcommand{\beginverb}{\begin{verbatim}} \newcommand{\inputfile}[1]{\input{#1}} \newcommand{\verbatimfile}[1]{\expandafter\beginverb\inputfile{#1}} My problem is that the \verbatim environment reads everything in and breaks the pages whenever it gets full. Most of my input files are already broken into pages for a normal ASCII line-printer, with embedded control-L characters to tell the printer to form feed. What I would like to do is modify the verbatim environment so that it recognizes form feeds (^L) to be \clearpage, or some such command so that LaTeX will break the pages where I have already decided they should be broken. Is there a kind TeXpert anywhere who could point out to me what modifications to the latex.tex source I would have to redefine to make my wishes come true? Please mail me suggestions and I will summarize to the net. -- Mike Clarkson, ...!allegra \ BITNET: mike@YUYETTI or CRESS, York University, ...!decvax \ FS300013@YUSOL 4700 Keele Street, ...!ihnp4 > !utzoo!yetti!mike North York, Ontario, ...!linus / CANADA M3J 1P3. ...!watmath / AT&T^G: (416) 667-3954
