Someone around here is selling a Biddle oak upright piano (circa 1920)
for $500/best offer. The hammers have been rebuilt. I don't know
anything about either Biddle pianos in general or this one in particu-
lar. Can anyone tell me something about this line of pianos? Does the
above info identify the model; are some Biddle models good and some
bad; are there special things to look out for; any opinions on whether
this is a good/bad/it-depends deal?
Thanks

Biddle piano Company: Established 1861 New York (from: Alfred Dodge, Pianos and their makers, Covina publishing Company, Covina Ca. reprinted Dover 0-486-22856-8, 1972) jaap (mcvax!jaap) PS. You don't rebuild hammers, you replace them.
