For laser printers of 300pixels/inch, we found many fonts in the TeX distribution tape. But it seems they are designed for the Imagen 8/300 which is a Canon-type printer. We are working with an DEC LN01, which is a Xerox-type printer, and the TeX papers we are getting are actually too thin, and the problem is the same with Imagen 12/300 and 24/300 (Xerox-type). I have heard that it is normal. A font printed in a Canon-type printer is really bolder than the same on a Xerox-type. So, I am looking for people who have the same problem and the "method" for solving it. Is there a special distribution of 300 pixel/inch fonts for Xerox-type printers, or programs to enbold standard TeX 300 pixel/inch fonts ? And what about Troff fonts ? -- Pierre Laforgue pierre@imag.UUCP or {seismo|mcvax|vmucnam|inria}!imag!pierre
