[net.text] TeX to tty?

I believe that there is a program called dvidoc that may do what you want to
do. I think it is available from the University of Ohio. It would require
considerable modification since it was written for a DEC 20.

I have such a beast, and have meant to post it to mod.sources
for a long time, but just haven't gotten around to it. I will
mail it to the moderator by next week.

Does anyone know of something that will accept a TeX
file, and output it to something like a tty?

It might do a minimum of formatting (indexing, pagination?).
Few assumptions would be made about the output device, but it
might default to 66 lines, 80 col.
