[net.text] Yet Another Dumb LaTeX question

anita@utastro.UUCP (Anita Cochran) (10/01/86)

I am a new LaTeX user and have what should be a dumb question but I
cannot figure out from reading the manual. I am using a document
type of article and within that I am use a list type of verse.
This is indenting things about 0.4 inch. How do I change the
value of the leftmargin of the indented stuff. I tried putting
"\leftmargin 0.75in" right after the "\begin{verse}" and that
didn't appear to do anything. I thought, from the figure on page
113 of the manual, that this would be what I should do. So, how do I
make this change for verse or any other of the display environments?

Please reply by e-mail. Thanks in advance.
