[net.text] Multiple columns in -ms

gilgut@cg-d.UUCP (Steve Gilgut) (10/28/86)

In response to the request for multiple columns in -ms,
the .2C command is a special case of the .MC command
with no arguments.

.MC takes as an argument the column width. So if you
want 3 columns, use .MC 2.0i, for 4 columns use .MC 1.5i
etc.

I usually insert ".pi /usr/bin/col" at the front so I can
view the output on my screen. Or, you can pipe the output of
'nroff' to 'col': nroff -ms file | col > file.doc
