Each count in the table below is the number of Massachusetts firms whose Boston Sunday Globe advertisements since 1987 mention the adjacent skill phrase. !-----------------------------------------------------------------------! ! Furthermore, in the Boston Sunday Globe of 1/06/91, I found 118 advertisements containing one or more of the 110+ skill phrases I track. The large count in this issue tells me there is still a significant need for certain skills in Massachusetts. The richness of this particular issue is reflected in the following statistics for the number of advertisement FINDs in the 27 Boston Sunday Globe issues during the last half of 1990: average advertisements found: 55.1 minimum advertisements found: 14 maximum advertisements found: 94 This data is from my catalog of 1600+ employers whose help wanted advertisements for Massachusetts positions mention particular skill phrases.
