Does anyone have an RSA implementation in 'C'? Of course it wouldn't be too swift in software, but I'd be interested in seeing one. You could probably use mp(3) for the dirty work - that's what the xsend stuff uses to do knapsacking with. I'm starting to see adds in the micro magazines for RSA software packages, so I wondered whether there are any out there in NET-land. Does anyone know whether this micro stuff is any good? There have been a couple of articles (e.g. in BYTE a couple of months ago) showing off the basics in BASIC but they don't pretend to be anymore than exemplary, i.e. they only use small numbers and modulos. Are the packages that run on the IBM-PC (for instance) any better, or still just toys? - richard outerbridge / University of Toronto / CSRG (...!decvax!utzoo!utcsrgv!outer)
