some people have suggested that using two chips in parrallel might result in better security. i feel that this is wrong. from what i see the simple side-by-side method mearly alternates two keys over the fixed 64 block segments. even if you did a mixed side-by-side methos where the key bits could float between the two chips, your still having a 112 bit key for a 128 bit space, and thus a whole. since the internals of the DES is officially kept unknown as to why it is the way it is, one cant assume that larger keys would not make the encryption even more degenerate. chongo /\../\
