UNIX uses a variation of DES to hash passwords. Does anyone know what the DEC VMS system does?

The current scheme is a Purdy polynomial. Cheers, Tony ;-) -- Tony Li ;-) Usc Computer Science Uucp: {sdcrdcf, randvax}!uscvax!tli Csnet: tli@usc-cse.csnet Arpa: tli@usc-ecl
