[net.crypt] Whitesmith's 'C'

outer@utcsri.UUCP (Richard Outerbridge) (05/08/85)

Does Whitesmith export their 'C' compiler package "as-is"? In one
release I've seen their standard library includes the DEA. What's
really neat about it is the user gets to supply the key schedule.
While they give you a function that sets up a schedule from the
usual 56-bit key, there's nothing to stop you from rolling your
own and using, say, a 768-bit (16 x 48) key. Well, nothing except
coming up with 768 "random" bits.
