*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** I just read a posting by someone who wanted to know about more books about the Titanic. I can think of authors, such as Col. Gracie who wrote a book right after the disaster, in fact if I recall It is not totally complete. He died before he could finish it. However It was published and can be found in some libraries. 2nd Officer Lightoller wrote a book in the 30s Perhaps the most unusual book written about the Titanic is the first one published after the disaster (something like 2 months later) It is based on all the newspaper reports. (which were not very accurate) And it makes facinating reading, because it's just so bad!!

The most unusual Titanic book is the one referenced in _A Night To Remember_, a novel that was written some years BEFORE the Titanic was even built that correctly predicted many details of the disaster and was close on many more. --- David Phillip Oster -- "The goal of Computer Science is to Arpa: oster@lapis.berkeley.edu -- build something that will last at Uucp: ucbvax!ucblapis!oster -- least until we've finished building it."
