1. In the August SFC, Kay Anderson repeats a rumor that Star Wars IV is in pre-production. Would anyone in netland like to contribute to this rumor? 2. Ditto for details of the Princess Leia/Paul Simon situation. Was this in People magazine? -- Please mail-carrier, bring back my person! (non-sexist version)

It would be difficult for Star Wars IV to be in pre-production, since SW-IV was the first one out! The rumors I hears are that they are doing principle-shooting involving the stars from the existing films, to insure continutity between the middle trilogy and the other films.

I meant "the IV-th movie in the series of movies which began with 'Star Wars'". In fact, I was hoping this rumor meant that Lucas had abandoned the tri-trilogy dream. Who wants to wait another 25 years to see the whole thing (or longer, depending on the VAX's load factor) ? In 25 years, who would care? (rhetorical) P.S.
