My 1541 disk drive is exhibiting erratic behavior. I get all sorts of errror
messages such as read error,drive not ready,file not found,etc. for no apparent
reason. When I run the CBM demo disk performance program it says the "unit is
failing " when it gets to the write track 1 section . Does anyone have experience with similar failures? Any experiences about the best way to get it repaired?Please respond by unix mail hou2a!richa or by Ma Bell (collect) 201 949-2759.
