I get Commodore's magazines regularly ("Commodore" and "Power Play"),
but generally have found them inferior to "COMPUTE!" and the
"COMPUTE! Gazette". They are available by subscription or in the
magazine racks of many bookstores.

While I can't speak for the games published in these magazines
(I don't usually bother typing them in), the COMPUTE! publications
have been a valuable source of utilities and information, for both
BASIC and machine language programming (for example, their articles
on Commodore 64 video). COMPUTE! also has a series of interesting
books available, such as "COMPUTE!'s first book of Commodore 64"
and "Machine Language for Beginners."

A newcomer on the scene is "RUN" magazine, whose premier issue is
due shortly. It is published by a company which also owns several
other microcomputer magazines. I've mailed my subscription in, but
have not received the first issue yet.
