[net.micro.cbm] C compiler for the C64

holtz@hound.UUCP (J.HOLTZMAN) (01/15/84)

Does anybody know of a C compiler for the Commodore 64?

nathan@orstcs.UUCP (01/30/84)

Manx Software Systems has a C compiler for the C64.

                  ------------------------------------------------

                            from the vicious cycle of:

         >>----->>-------------( Nathan C. Myers )-----------------\
               /                                                    |

I asked about this and received the following information:
Manx Software, Freehold,N.J., will have one in two months for
$200. I also heard that there is a modification of C, Tiny-C,
that is available for the C64 for $100.
Thanks for the info.

Unless Tiny-C has improved considerably, avoid it: no struct declarations
the last I looked. Who needs a C-flavored FORTRAN?

With respect to Manx, does anybody have any experience with their products
(including other C compilers)?
