The Cardco G interface works just fine (provided you're careful about sending certain CHR$ and ESC codes to it in the unlocked mode). A less expensive way to go would be with the Epson RX-80 or the Star Gemini 10x. They're the same price, but the RX-80 doesn't have friction feed. A table top comparison reveals a better engineering job on the Epson, and better component selection. I've heard a lot of good reports on the Gemini though. A lot of printer for the money. The Cardco G is about $85 and gives you the Commodore graphics set. In the unlocked mode, the Cardco essentially tells your printer to emulate the Commodore 1525 printer.
