I'm using an Epson RX-80/FT with my 64. The Cardco G interface works
just fine (provided you're careful about sending certain CHR$ and ESC
codes to it in the unlocked mode).

A less expensive way to go would be with the Epson RX-80 or the Star
Gemini 10x. They're the same price, but the RX-80 doesn't have friction
feed. A table top comparison reveals a better engineering job on the
Epson, and better component selection. I've heard a lot of good reports
on the Gemini though. A lot of printer for the money.

The Cardco G is about $85 and gives you the Commodore graphics set. In
the unlocked mode, the Cardco essentially tells your printer to emulate
the Commodore 1525 printer. In the locked mode, you can use all the
control codes on your non-Commodore printer.
