The 1701 monitor is advertised at $199. The 1702 is no less than $249. Is the difference significant enough to spend the extra?

+ It all depends what "version" of C64 you have. If you the newest eight pin video connector you will want to get the 1702, (which is supplied with an 8 pin cable).
