-------------------------------------- I knew that would get your interest! -------------------------------------- I own a Vic. Boo! You own a C-64. Yeah! I don't have any problems with my Vic. Yeah! (No, really!) You seem to have countable problems with your C-64. Boo! I once thought about swapping my Vic for a C-64. Boo! I changed my mind. Yeah! Instead I bought enough expansion boards to make the space shuttle look like a third rate video game. It now looks and acts like a 64, as long as it keeps its mouth shut. (No SID) Have I lucked out? Is the Vic less prone to disaster than its big brother, the 64? The only trouble I have had, that is directly related to Vic hardware is a blown fuse and some minor loading problems, both easily fixed. Where are all the discontented Vic owners? Is there such an organism? Is this a case of a Volkswagon beating a Dodge at the 1/4 mile? Am I the only person left that owns a Vic? Is there really a Santa Claus? No picture interference. No thermal runaway. No locking keyboard on the last line of the display. No imcompatibility of versions. (least I don't think) No difference in video jacks. No extra help from joysticks. Why would I want a 64? Don't say memory and don't say sprites. J Gerard Olszowiec (like Bolshevik without the B)

No, you're not the only VIC-20 owner. I own one of the, Boo!, VIC's too. Like your's, mine is expanded too. 32K of switchable memory expansion, Speak-Easy voice module, 300/1200 baud modem, a home brew 80 col. board, and lastly, a multi-voice SID driven keyboard synthesizer. The synthesizer is also home brew. (Details and idea's are going through the patent process. So no questions on this one will be answered.) I too, think that the VIC-20 is the best little computer on the market. I also would not trade the VIC for all of the computers presently on the market. Ed Kufeldt AT&T Technologies :~}
