I am a unix/fortran programmer with a 64 at home for my kids. We bought the Clone Machine for backups. The manual warns that for some protected disks you will have to list out the program, understand the machine code, find the checks to disk write errors and take them out. Well, I guess so because I tried to back up two disks and failed when following the cook-book approach given. If I had the time and knowledge to do all this it seems to me that I probably wouldn't need the Clone Machine at all, and in that sense the sellers are guilty of false advertising. Is there any product that does work? Is it worth subscribing to the newsletter or should I try to get my money back?
