An item of interest, from Infoworld: Playnet Inc - 200 Jordon Rd, Troy NY, 12180 (800) 752-9638 A multi-player game service for C64s. Has Capture the flag, Sea Strike, Four in a Row, Reversi, others. (Not particularly exciting, but maybe we can hope for better soon?) Costs $29.95 startup, fixed $6/month, $2/hour - sounds reasonable. (These are "special introductory rates, however.) I am not connected in any way with Playnet, Inc - though if I ever buy another C64 (mine went when I bought the house, alas), I might get "connected" in the modem sense.
