[net.micro.cbm] C-64 speech synthesizer

joels@tektools.UUCP (Joel Swank) (12/03/84)

I have used SAM from TRONIX distributed by Abacus. It us all software
and uses the SID chip. It produces recognizable speech. It doesn't
sound like natural speech though. It can be programmed both in
English and its own pseudo-English. SAM comes with demonstration
programs and instructions for using in a BASIC program. I found
SAM easy to use.
